Pate & CoFractional HR Consulting

Working together is simpler than hiring.

No contract maze, no onboarding project. Three steps, and most of it happens on the phone and by email — which is exactly why it fits around a business you are already running.

Delivered remotely

Distance is not the obstacle.

Calls by video or phone, documents by email, questions answered as they come up. It is the same judgment you would get from someone down the street — without waiting for a day they can come out.

  1. 01

A call about what is going on

Tell Pate how many people you employ, what has come up, and what you would like off your plate. It is a conversation, not a sales pitch — there is no obligation and no jargon. If your situation is urgent, say so and it gets prioritized.

  2. 02

    A short list of priorities

You get a plain-spoken picture of what needs attention first, what can wait, and what it would take. That is often the most useful part: knowing which of the eleven things on your mind actually matter this quarter.

  3. 03

    The work, done remotely

Handbooks written, hiring steps built, managers coached, questions answered. Calls happen by video or phone and documents arrive by email. You get senior HR judgment on call, without adding a full-time salary.

What you can count on

You get an experienced person, not a form

Every engagement is Pate’s own work. There is no account manager in between, and no call center.

It is sized to your business

A set number of hours a month, or support on call as things come up. If you need less than you thought, you will be told that.

Where a question is legal, you will hear it

HR and employment law overlap, but they are not the same. Pate will say plainly when something belongs with your attorney.

The first step is just a conversation.

Tell Pate what is going on and he will tell you whether he can help, and what he would do about it.
